Volunteers Save the Day

Did you know for the last five years a steadfast volunteer corporate group has been deep cleaning the camper cabins at Hermit Park Open Space to get them ready for the season? What started out as a corporate wellness tool and team building excursion has turned into an annual tradition that benefits those who camp at Hermit Park.
On Sunday, April 23, nine volunteers from First Bank, City of Ft. Collins, and one finance/maintenance staff attended to cleaning the cabins.
Volunteer Sarah Holt has organized this annual clean every year since 2019, even after switching jobs from First Bank where she worked as a recruiter, and now as a recruiter for City of Fort Collins.
“They always do a great job, and we got all 13 cabins at Hermit Park deep cleaned and ready for the upcoming season!” said Tammy Deterts, Maintenance Tech II.
